The book “Estonians in the Finnish and German Forces 1940–1945 (K–L)”
We are glad to report that we can once again send “Estonians in the Finnish and German Forces 1940–1945” to print. This is volume 15 in the Estonian Memento Union's book series.
The content of “Estonians in the Finnish and German Forces 1940–1945” is a register of Estonians and their lives — people who served in the Finnish and German forces between 1940 and 1945. These are full records in a list of surnames covering the letters K–L. The book contains 20,629 personal entries and runs to 770 pages.
Our lead contractor Raul Juurma was responsible for the entire book layout, tidying the register, statistical analysis of the processed data, photo editing and communication with the ministry, the Office of the President and the printing house.
Two more books in the same series are in progress: one covering the names M–Y (volume 16) and a supplemented register of new personal entries from A to Y (volume 17).
Big jobs are ours to do.
